The JRA road rides are intended to be a nice moderate pace for 20-30 miles. This is a good ride for those with road riding experience who don’t want to sprint from light to light. It’s a good recovery day ride for the hardcore rider, or a challenging ride for the less fit riders. Meet at the shop at 7:30am sharp and be ready to ride by 7:45am.
Todays route: Meet at the shop. We’ll ride up Agoura Road to Lindero Canyon Rd. Left on Lindero. Right on Triunfo Canyon. Left on Westlake Blvd. Rt on Potrero Rd into Hidden Valley. Through Hidden Valley (there is a water source at the Fire Station). Then back to the shop. Approximately 25 miles total.
You must always come prepared with a bike in good working condition, water, a helmet, as well as any protective gear you deem necessary. It’s a good idea to bring something to eat if you haven’t eaten in the last few hours. You should bring an extra innertube in case of a flat.
We always host “no drop” rides. This means we won’t leave anyone behind. We always welcome new riders however we do recommend that you have good bike handling skills and appropriate fitness for the ride distance.
Bicycling has its inherent risks, including serious injury or death. Your participation is an acknowledgment of those risks and an assumption of liability. Riding at night requires sufficient lighting. We recommend a light with a minimum of 1000 lumens.
