Meet at the shop at 7:30am. In the pedals by 7:45am sharp!
Agoura Road to Cheseboro Road into Cheseboro Cyn.
Up Cheseboro Canyon to Pump Hill, aka Baleen.
Down Pump Hill to Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Trail. We will probably throw in Coyote Trail and portions of Ahmanson Ranch.
Then we’ll ride over to Juan Bautista De Anza Park to ride Grasslands Trail. On to Malibu Creek State Park. Maybe throw in Tapia Spur Trail. On to the MASH Site and finish with a short road ride to the shop. If everyone is up to it, we’ll even ride Paramount Ranch. Expect 25+ miles. Back to the shop by 11am.
Gravel bikes, cyclocrossers, and hardtail mountain bikes are great for this ride. This is a fast paced ride with regroups and three water/bathroom stops.
You must always come prepared with a bike in good working condition, water, a helmet, as well as any protective gear you deem necessary. It’s a good idea to bring trail food if you haven’t eaten in the last few hours. You should bring an extra innertube in case of a flat.
We always host “no drop” rides. This means we won’t leave anyone behind. We always welcome new riders and might have a loaner riding light if you call in advance.
Mountain biking has its inherent risks, including serious injury or death. Your participation is an acknowledgment of those risks and an assumption of liability. Riding at night requires sufficient lighting. We recommend a light with a minimum of 1000 lumens.
