Wildwood and Hill Canyon

August 8, 2019 @ 6:45 pm - 9:00 pm

WiEvan Means spun the Wheel of Fork-Tune to send us out on this awesome ride!

Meet in the Wildwood Elementary School parking lot on Avenida De Los Arboles, just west of Lynn Rd.

We’ll start with Stage Coach Trail. Then drop down Lizard Rock to the road outside of the water treatment plant. Then off to Hill Canyon we’ll go. The fireroad climb up to Gnome Trail is a bit steep and just long enough to remind us why most of us have derailleurs. We’ll ride Gnome Trail, Hawk Canyon, and a few other fun trails before heading back to Wildwood.

This is a cardio-vascular demanding ride with intermediate technical trails and steep fireroads.

You must always come prepared with a bike in good working condition, water, a helmet, as well as any protective gear you deem necessary. It’s a good idea to bring something to eat if you haven’t eaten in the last few hours. You should bring an extra innertube in case of a flat.

We always host “no drop” rides. This means we won’t leave anyone behind. We always welcome new riders however we do strongly recommend that you have good bike handling skills and appropriate fitness for the ride distance.

Bicycling has its inherent risks, including serious injury or death. Your participation is an acknowledgment of those risks and an assumption of liability. Riding at night requires sufficient lighting. We recommend a light with a minimum of 1000 lumens.

Please RSVP so we know who to expect. If you are seeing event on our website calendar, go to our Facebook page to RSVP. https://www.facebook.com/JRABikesAndBrew/events
