Grasslands/MCSP Night Ride
November 6, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
We are excited that you’ll be riding with us, however we do need a liability waiver on file for your acknowledgment of the risks. We ask that you BRING A SIGNED WAIVER. You can DOWNLOAD our waiver by clicking on the “Tickets” link, or by going here:
This ride is great on gravel bikes or regular ol’ mountain bikes! Hardtail or full suspension. Gears or SS. It’s all good. Except e-Bikes. Malibu Creek State Park prohibits the use of e-bikes in the park.
Meet in the De Anza parking lot.
ROUTE: Grasslands Trail out to Malibu Creek State Park all the way to MASH site. Then we’ll hustle back the same way. There are three short, punchy climbs going out and again coming back. There is also very little rocky, technical terrain on this route. PLEASE RSVP FOR THIS RIDE.
You must always come prepared with a bike in good working condition, water, a helmet, as well as any protective gear you deem necessary. It’s a good idea to bring something to eat if you haven’t eaten in the last few hours. You should bring an extra innertube in case of a flat.
We always host “no drop” rides. This means we won’t leave anyone behind. We always welcome new riders however we do recommend that you have good bike handling skills and appropriate fitness for the ride distance.
Bicycling has its inherent risks, including serious injury or death. Your participation is an acknowledgment of those risks and an assumption of liability. Riding at night requires sufficient lighting. We recommend a light with a minimum of 1000 lumens.
Please RSVP so we know who to expect. If you are seeing event on our website calendar, go to our Facebook page to RSVP. https://www.facebook.com/JRABikesAndBrew/events
