Sheep Corral with a side of Cheese
February 4 @ 6:45 pm - 9:00 pm
The Wheel of Fork-Tune has spoken! This is a fun, challenging route for the hardcore mountain bikers.
PARK: at the Upper Las Virgenes Cyn Open Space Preserve trailhead. It is located north of the 101 Freeway off Las Virgenes Road where it dead ends.
This ride starts with a mild fireroad warmup before we tackle the Sheep Corral climb, aka Gaspipe. This is a rocky trail that will challenge the most experienced riders.
Once we reach Shepherd’s Flat we’ll continue to the Lookout above Palo Comado. After a much deserved rest, we’ll turn around and head back down Sheep Corral Trail, aka Triple Threat, to Las Virgenes. This is a rocky, rutted descent. From there it’s a quick ride to the cars.
We ask that you BRING A SIGNED WAIVER OR EMAIL it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. You only need to do this once.
You can DOWNLOAD our waiver by going here:
We always host “no drop” rides. This means we won’t leave anyone behind. We always welcome new riders. You must always come prepared with a bike in good working condition, water, a helmet, as well as any protective gear you deem necessary. HELMETS ARE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE RIDES. It’s a good idea to bring food if you haven’t eaten in the last few hours. You should also bring an extra inner-tube in case of a flat.
Each person is responsible for determining if their riding skills match the difficulty of the terrain they are riding on. Each person is responsible for their own safety on the ride. In addition, each rider is responsible for their own bike, its maintenance as well as the protective equipment they choose to wear.
Mountain biking has its inherent risks, including serious injury or death. Your participation is an acknowledgment of those risks and an assumption of liability. Riding at night requires sufficient lighting. We recommend a light with a minimum of 1000 lumens. For night rides, we might have a loaner riding light if you call the shop in advance.
Please RSVP so we know who to expect. If you are seeing event on our website calendar, go to our Facebook page to RSVP. https://www.facebook.com/JRABikesAndBrew/events
