Thursday Wildwood and Santa Rosa Trail!

Meet at the Avenida De Los Arboles parking lot north of Lynn Road. Arboles will end at the trailhead. This is a cardiovascularly demanding ride.
We will start with the Stagecoach trail (very rocky), down the fireroad to the Tee Pee and on down to Paradise Falls. We’ll have fun crossing the creek a few times on some fun, challenging bridges. THESE ARE RIDEABLE CROSSINGS BUT YOU RISK FALLING IN THE CREEK.
Once we get out to the Water Treatment plant, we’ll tackle the challenging Lizard Rock climb from the backside, back into Wildwood Park. The party has just begun.
We’ll drop down Box Canyon Trail to the Santa Rosa Rd side. Then climb up the Santa Rosa Trail- a steady climb up switchbacks followed by jagged, rocky sections at the top. The final descent into the park is a narrow trail bordered by cactus. STAY ON THE TRAIL!
You must always come prepared with a bike in good working condition, water, a helmet, as well as any protective gear you deem necessary. It’s a good idea to bring something to eat if you haven’t eaten in the last few hours. You should bring an extra innertube in case of a flat.
We always host “no drop” rides. This means we won’t leave anyone behind. We always welcome new riders however we do recommend that you have good bike handling skills and appropriate fitness for the ride distance.
Bicycling has its inherent risks, including serious injury or death. Your participation is an acknowledgment of those risks and an assumption of liability. Riding at night requires sufficient lighting. We recommend a light with a minimum of 1000 lumens.
