JRA: Palo/Bones/Triple Threat

October 25, 2016 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

The Tuesday night rides are a faster paced group ride. This ride starts with a short warmup on Palo Comado Fireroad to a good climb up Bones, aka Poachers, to the Lookout. From there we’ll descend Sheep Corral Trail to Shepherd’s Flat, down Gaspipe to Las Virgenes. Strava has this long descent listed as Triple Threat. At the bottom we’ll decide to either climb back up Gaspipe and descend Sulphur Springs/Cheseboro Fireroad, OR we will climb Pump Hill and descend Cheseboro Fireroad.

You must always come prepared with a bike in good working condition, water, a helmet, as well as any protective gear you deem necessary. It’s a good idea to bring trail food if you haven’t eaten in the last few hours. You should bring an extra innertube in case of a flat.

We always host “no drop” rides. This means we won’t leave anyone behind. We always welcome new riders and might have a loaner riding light if you call in advance.

Mountain biking has its inherent risks, including serious injury or death. Your participation is an acknowledgment of those risks and an assumption of liability. Riding at night requires sufficient lighting. We recommend a light with a minimum of 1000 lumens.

Please RSVP so we know who to expect. If you are seeing event on our website calendar, go to our Facebook page to RSVP. https://www.facebook.com/JRABikesAndBrew/events
